Time to find out some info about me, it might help you make a decision about who to vote for this election:I was born in Gisborne and came to Whakatāne with my Parents in 1960. I went to James St Primary and then Whakatāne High. I served my time as a Builder locally and was New Zealand Apprentice of the year which gave me and my wife and daughter a year in Sydney Australia. We have a family of 4 Adult children and 11 grandchildren. We started Pullar Builders in 1981 and our son took over in 2008. I have been a member of Rotary Club of Whakatane since 1978. And have supported the local Whakatane Town AFC Soccer Club for many years, and enjoy fishing and watching motorsport.I want to use my expertise and experience and time to contribute to our region. So a vote for me will see things getting done. I won't promise you something I will not be able to deliver and I will tell you how it is. I am a straight shooter and my views may well differ from yours but rest assured I am here for the benefit of the District and will do my best for all of you. I just want to give back to the community that has been good to our family for the past 40-odd years.#whakatatāne #whakatane #bethechange ... See MoreSee Less

Senior (and all Junior) football is back in action this weekend, as our Bay 1 lads head out on the road, while our Bay 2 boys will be looking to shore up the fortress at Rex Morpeth. ⚽️ Starting off at 12.30, our Bay 2 lads play host to Papamoa FC Old Boys. Sitting above us on the table, Paps will be a tough contest that the boys will be up for!⚽️ Rounding off the weekend, at 2.15, our Bay 1 team will do battle in Otūmoetai Football Club Inc against their Legends team. Our boys will be looking to increase their advantage at the summit of the table.Unfortunately our undefeated Women's team are once again without a game as they have a scheduled BYE this Sunday. Make sure that if you're in the areas, get down and support our teams!⚫️⚪️ #UpTheTown ... See MoreSee Less
