Whakatane's Fed 1 team had a 1-0 loss at home to Taupo. With the scores locked 0-0 at halftime it was Taupo who managed to score in the 2nd half from a corner that was well headed in from the near post. Whakatane managed a few chances themselves and pulled one back only for it to be ruled off side. McDonalds player of the day went to Paul Taylor. Whakatane's Bay 1 side also went down 1-0 to Otumoetai. Whakatane Bay 2 have made it to the Final of the CNS bowl after a 4-2 win over Otumoetai 3. This game will be played at Tauranga's Links Ave on Sept 18.
